Classic Beef Stroganoff

I think Beef Stroganoff takes everyone back to their childhood.  It can be served over noodles or over rice.  Delicious either way!

Combine salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder. Season beef.  Cut beef across grain into about 1 1/2 by 1/2 inch strips.

Saute the onions and garlic in butter in 10 inch skillet over medium heat.  Add the beef just long enough to brown it.  Transfer the onions, garlic and beef to a crock pot that has been sprayed with cooking spray.

Mix together the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce and flour. Add this mixture and the mushrooms to the crock pot.

Cook on low for 5 - 6 hours.  Stir in sour cream.  Give it a bit of time before serving to let the sour cream warm.   Serve over noodles and enjoy!

An 8 ounce cube of cream cheese can be substituted for the sour cream.  It will change the taste slightly, but still good!
