Fake Prime Rib

This didn't slice up like prime rib, but it sure tasted as good as prime rib.  It was moist, tender and delicious!

  • 1 package Good Seasons Italian Dressing
  • 1/4 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 3 pound beef roast
  • 8 ounces beef broth
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon  beef bouillon
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Combine the Good Seasons Italian Dressing and seasoned salt. Rub on the beef roast. Place in a gallon bag and leave in the refrigerator overnight. 

To make au jus, combine water, beef bouillon, soy sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. 

Place the roast in the slow cooker.  Pour beef broth into the crockpot. Add the au jus.   Cook on low for 8 - 10 hours.
