Savory Potato Soup

A creamy cup of potato soup is the perfect compliment to any chilly fall night.  I can't say enough about this recipe.  It's the best Potato Soup I've ever made!

  • 8 cups diced potatoes
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 6 cups chicken broth
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup, undiluted
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, cubed
  • 1 pound sliced bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • Chives, chopped


In the crock pot, combine the first six ingredients. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or until potatoes are tender. Add cream cheese then stir until blended. Garnish with bacon and chives if desired.
